Suburbia Clients Score Big at 2009 Canadian Shopping Centre Awards

VICTORIA, BC – Suburbia Advertising would like to congratulate five clients who received national recognition for excellence in shopping centre marketing from the International Council of Shopping Centers at a ceremony in Toronto on September 23.

Upper Canada Mall in Newmarket, Ontario was a multiple winner again this year, receiving the Gold distinction for centres between 750,001 and 1,000,000 square feet in three categories including; Public Relations for its Denim Diva & Simon Chang Grand Opening, Sales Promotions and Events for the Orangeville Pop-Up Store, and Advertising for the “What Will You Change Into?” campaign.

Coquitlam Centre in Coquitlam, BC was awarded Silver in the Community Relations category for STRUT – An Evening of Spring Fashion for a Cause, where they raised over $22,000 for charity.

Willowbrook Shopping Centre in Langley, BC was also recognized in the Community Relations category with a Silver Maple Leaf for their “A Passion for Trashion” entry.

Finalists included Woodgrove Centre in Nanaimo, BC in the Community Relations category for the “Load the Lockers” campaign and Hillside Centre in Victoria, BC in the Community Relations category for the Habitat for Humanity Victoria Birdhouse Build.
